Spiritual skills needed for year 2020- Part four

Oh mine, it's first of February. We need to get this done.
I hope that these series has blessed you as much as it has blessed me.
It's first of February already, review your plans for January. Did you meet all goals and targets? Have you started the course you planned for this year? Have you submitted the application? My dear, time waits for no one. 31 days gone already, 334 days left.

Let's move on. You can check out the other parts here.

Part Three

4. Confession

This is the act of declaring God's word about your situation and circumstances. Confession is borne out of meditation. This year, confess God's word than ever before. Let your words align with the word of God. Rather than confess your situation, confess the word and then your situation will begin to align with God's word that you are confessing. Create your world by virtue of your words. Let the word of God always be in your mouth.
Declare God's word concerning every single aspect of your life; your finances, your walk with God, your career, your academics your relationship, your marriage etc. Confess God's word about those mundane things. As soon as you get hold of God's will concerning the issue, no matter how mundane it might seem, begin to confess God's will and see it come to physical manifestation. As a young lady, I usually confess God's word about my career, about my marriage, my beauty, my stature after childbirth and can you imagine, everything I ever confessed is coming to physical manifestation.  The life am living right now, I had confessed them in the past...and I won't stop confessing God's word into my future. This year, I would be conscious in my meditation and my confession.

Let  your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we may boldly say: “The Lord  is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”
Hebrews 13:5‭-‬6 NKJV

Did you see that, 'he has said, so that we may boldly say'. Young lady, this year, you need to boldly say. Don't allow circumstances to say. Let your voice rise above the voice of the situation.

5. Praying in tongues

Oh mine!!! This is another spiritual skill to maximize in year 2020.

But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,
Jude 1:20 NKJV

Yay...you have got to pray in tongues. Spend time praying in tongues. You can start by praying in tongues for 15 minutes each day consistently and then increase the number of minutes as it becomes an habit.
There are so many benefits of praying in tongues that this article cannot even exhaust.
Praying in tongues causes your spirit to be aligned with the Spirit of God such that you are able to receive instructions and directions precisely. It's like operating on a similar frequency as the Spirit of God, such that the things of God are easier communicated to you. Are you experiencing difficulty in perceiving God's will concerning areas of your life, then, you need to soak yourself in tongues. You can look for a tongue accountability partner. Someone who you encourage yourself together with. Someone you ask everyday and who asks you too 'Have you prayed in tongues today? Someone you can fix meetings with, and pray in tongues together with. Make sure your partner is a babe too 😉, no need looking for a guy, except you are in a marital relationship with such guy, anyway.

6.  Journaling

I like this one a lot. Journaling is the act of writing in a journal. What do you write?
Your dealings with God, your gleanings from the scriptures, your thoughts, several things, depending on you (this blog started as an act of journaling). I love to journal a lot. A lot of times, the Spirit of God even points my attention to it, and reminds me, especially when he's telling me things and am not writing it down. I understand that in our age, you don't necessarily have to write. There are a lot of online journals and note pads. The most important thing is that the information are being kept.
I learnt a lesson recently. I was in a prayer meeting, where the Lord was communicating some things to me. Good enough, I wrote them down. Some days after,  while checking those things I wrote down, I realized that I had actually forgotten them. They were no longer on my mind. If I had not written them down, there is no way I would have known them, except if  the Lord recommunicates them to me. Why? The Lord was speaking to my spirit and not to my mind. So you see why it's important to write down things? Always keep a journal, whether as a hard copy or on your phone. Let it be easily accessible, such that you can quickly note ideas, concepts, revelations and whatever the Lord says to you.  One of the things that is helping me in my journey to self discovery is journaling.  I will talk about this at length whenever I make a post about self discovery.

The post is becoming bulky. Let me stop here and continue in a new post.

I love you loads
