Understanding Purpose as a young lady 3

Hello sweet lady, It's just few hours to the end of year 2019. I want to make sure I end this series this year. Be sure that year 2020 has a lot in stock for us. I am already looking forward๐Ÿ’ƒ.  We have been able to establish from scriptures that every man who is in Christ, is blessed and commissioned of the Lord for this purpose -to be fruitful, to multiply and to replenish the earth. The question is what specific role does a woman has to play in this commission of the Lord. Going back to the beginning, we remember that after God created Adam, He realized that it is not good for him to be alone and then He decided to create a companion for him. Scripture referred to that companion as an ‘helpmeet’. So you see, in the assignment of the Lord to humans, the specific role that the woman has to play is to be a helpmeet for the man, that is to help the man in fulfilling God’s purpose. What of a woman who is not yet married? You can help your future husband in the place of praye

Understanding Purpose as a young lady 2

Hello sweet, Christmas in the air ๐Ÿ’ƒ We are back on our purpose series. In case you missed out on part 1, check it  here . GOD’S GENERAL PURPOSE FOR HUMANS There is a general purpose for which God created humans, there is a general purpose for which God created women, and there is a specific purpose why God created you. Today, we will be considering God’s general purpose for humans. Let’s start from the beginning. Gen 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, be fruitful and, multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. After God created man in His own image, he gave them a mandate and an instruction. This is God’s reason for creating man- so that we can bear fruits and multiply upon the surface of the earth. He also wants us to replenish the earth. What does replenish mean? It means to fill up something again, or to

There was no kissing, pecking..... Temitayo

It's testimony time.... Today on our testimony segment, we have two lovelies. It's a beautiful thing when two lovers of God are in love with one another and they keep the bed undefiled, especially in this generation of ours. Hey lady, can I tell you that despite the rottenness, some people are still pursuing after righteousness. Not everybody is doing that thing!!! Watch this space.... Temitayo and Ibitayo Oso Temitayo : What made me decide for a sexually pure courtship were the teachings from my parents, and the church. I also became born again few weeks before resuming SS 2 class, so I knew sex before marriage was a sin. Ibitayo: I was also brought up in a christian home and became born again at a tender age so we were on the same page about pre-marital sex. Challenges along the line There were really no challenges because we had our rules and boundaries. Practical steps you took For instance, there was no kissing, pecking, wearing of anyth

The Comparison Game- I have been there before!!!

Yes I know we are on the purpose series. But then, I cannot just resist the urge to write this. Waking up at this time of the night, I thought to publicize yesterday's post on social media and something caught my fancy. You think it's something serious right?  Wait a minute, I will explain!!!.  Yeee, I saw the picture of some of my friends, that indicated success in their lives at various levels......ooops....and then I began to think, and to think and to compare. The more I thought, the more I saw reasons to continue thinking and the more whatever success I might have achieved at this time looked like trash to me. I blamed God!!! I blamed others!!! I blamed myself!!!. In fact, I blamed my husband and even my children!!!. Thank God for the Spirit of God who reorders our thoughts back to normal,  I probably would have been crying right now, instead of writing. After all the thinking episodes (I guess he probably allowed me to spend some time thinking, so that I ca

Understanding Purpose as a young lady 1

Hi Ladies, So today, I want to start a series on 'Understanding purpose as a young lady'. Would be nice to have a very good knowledge of what purpose means before moving into the new year. My desire is that coming year, each one begins to walk in line with God's purpose for her life. What is Purpose? Purpose means reason. The purpose of a thing is the reason for which that thing has been created. Before a manufacturer embarks on the journey of creating something, there has to be a purpose in his mind, or else his whole efforts will be a waste. God, who is our creator, had a purpose in mind at the point of creation. He had a general purpose for which he created human beings and then he has a specific purpose for which he created you, yes you. Our general purpose is to be a disciple of Christ, and our specific purpose is birthed out of submission to this primary calling. To be a disciple of Christ means to follow Christ. Following someone comes easy out of a de

There were several times my body wanted to indulge in sex-Gabriel

Hello young lady, Nothing is as sweet as having a sexually pure So, Poise has an awesome couple on the segment this day. Gabriel and Damilola are all shades of beauty and admiration, and to crown it all, they had a perfectly pure courtship. Ain't they beautiful? Gabriel is a pharmacist by profession and Damilola is the CEO of Arewa cakes and more. Read this!!! Damilola and Gabriel Adedeji Gabriel All glory to God. All I wanted was just to fear God and to do his will, to be an example to as many who think it is not possible to be sexually pure in a relationship or courtship. I was really determined  that I will never sleep with anyone until after my wedding and God helped me fulfil it.    It was not easy though, there were several temptations but thanks to God, I made it. Damilola Gabriel's testimony is same as mine. Thanks to God, I was mentored by the president of MINE teenagers, PST Timi Adigun, whose calling was to raise teens and yo

How to make God's word your life

Hello sweet lady,  Do you know that the most important thing in the life of a believer is God's word. God's word is the instrument for spiritual growth and the sure way to know and enjoy all our realities in Christ. What does it mean for something to be one's life? 1.  It means you came into being by that thing 2. It means that your existence depends on that thing 3. It means that without that thing, you are dead 4. It means that thing is your support system and you must seriously take care of it All these are exactly what God's word is to a believer. The word is our life!!! Our existence depends on God's word You might be wondering, why is God's word our life? 1. We were born by the word 1st Peter 1:23 You see, God's word is very instrumental in salvation. We got born again after we heard the word. That's why there is need  to preach the word to get people saved. As we move about our daily activities, let's be consc

How to hear God

Hey lady, This is a follow up to the article on knowing God's will that I posted earlier on. My husband wrote something that caught my attention, “the way God will lead you when it comes to marriage is the same way he has been leading you before you get to that juncture in life”. There is this hype about hearing God when it comes to marriage matters, such that someone who has never heard God before on other matters will seek to know God's will concerning marriage.  Babe, before you start wanting to know God's will about who you will marry, have you ever tried to know his will about other life matters? For example, if you are to go out or not to go out, your choice of career, etc. If you have not learnt to perceive God’s will about general life issues, then there's no way you are going to be able to perceive God's will when it comes to marriage. Marriage is a part of our life, and not a special part. So, now is the time to learn dear. Start practicing know

How to know God's will in marriage- Seyi Boluwaji

Hello young lady and teenage girl, So, today I thought to extract some parts of an article on knowing God's will in marriage, written by my husband, yipeeeee. I am very certain that you will enjoy it๐Ÿ˜€. God is the author of marriage and he is the best to consult when it comes to making a choice of a life partner. It is the right of a child of God to recognize and know God's will for them in all areas of life including marriage. Knowing God's will comes from a working knowledge of God that comes from an intimate relationship with God through regular fellowship with the spirit and the word. Many people find it challenging to discern God's will for them in marriage because that's the first time they are consciously making attempt at knowing the specific will of God. This ought not to be so, because being led by the spirit is something that should be the way of life for believers  Romans 8:14 . The way God will lead when it comes to marriage is the same way h

How to know people by the Spirit

Hey young ladies and young wives, So today, am writing about relationships by knowledge in the Spirit. Yeah, it's possible to know someone by the Spirit, and then relate with that person accordingly. Let me give an instance; you have a friend who gets annoyed easily, and you are wondering why. You can have a knowledge of her by the Spirit, in the place of fellowship, that could make you know why she gets angry easily. Probably, she has had some issues in the past, that has made her to be very hot tempered. When you know this, you will be able to relate with her better. When she displays the character, you understand where she is coming from, and may even be able to help her with the anger issues. I hope you understand what I mean now. So, knowledge of a person in the Spirit is the knowledge that the Spirit of God gives you about a person. It's always an accurate and a precise knowledge. Such knowledge could be for you to know about the place of that person in your l

I have loved you with an everlasting love

Hello sweetlady, Have you ever felt unloved by God? Have you ever felt that God is unhappy with you and no longer loves you? Then, this post is for you.  God is in love with you. It does not matter what you have done or what you are doing. God is constantly in love with you. His love never changed one bit. He has loved you with an everlasting love. Do you know the meaning of everlasting? Something that exists forever. God's love towards you exists forever.  See, whenever God looks at you, it is with love in His eyes. The same way he loves Christ, is the same way he loves you. Actually, when he views you, he sees Christ and then he loves up on you again. You are constantly in his view...engraved in the palm of his hand, your walls continually before you are always loved of the Lord. Do you remember the story of the prodigal son? Despite all he did, the father's love never changed. In fact, the father was eagerly waiting for him to come back and then when

Relationship with knowledge

Hello ladies I hope you had a nice weekend. This morning, I had a beautiful conversation with my brother about the love languages and hence, the inspiration for this article. What actually happened was that he gave me a word of 'deaffirmation' I accused him of always being quick to give me deaffirming words and never giving me encouraging words. I explained to him, that even though we are siblings, we need to relate with one another in knowledge. Knowledge of our love languages, knowledge of our gender peculiarities and knowledge of our individual peculiarities. The discussion made me to think of so many people that have lost their maritally intended relationships due to lack of knowledge. That God said he is your spouse does not mean it will automatically work out fine. You need to relate with knowledge. Do you know about the love languages? Everyone has a love language, that is the way they understand and perceive love. If your fiance's love language i

What is the difference between Dating and Courtship?

Hello Young Lady, It's been a while. I trust that you are well. I really missed you. Today, am going to be writing about an interesting topic, 'Dating and Courtship'. As a Christian lady, while growing up, I didn't hear so much about dating, but right now, dating seems to be the word that has taken over, even in Christian relationships. In this article, we will examine the difference between dating and Christian Courtship. What is Dating? Dating is from the word 'to date' which means to go out with someone or with people in whom one is romantically or sexually interested.  Dating, therefore is like a regular going out with that person, not with marriage in view; but you just like one another and you are spending time together, to see if things will work out between you.  Characteristics of Dating 1. No plans together for the future, but just enjoying the moment. 2. More than one person can be dated at a time

When my dear friend invited me to write for her blog, I thought and felt like it was all a mistake. This is simply because I am not yet a wife, neither am I in a relationship. However, through her encouragement I chose to honour her and share one or two lessons that the Holy Spirit is teaching me in my season. How should we Wait? 1.With Endurance I will use the scripture verse in 1 Peter 5:10-11 (AMPC)  10 And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace [Who imparts all blessing and favor], Who has called you to His [own] eternal glory in Christ Jesus, will Himself complete and make you what you ought to be, establish and ground you securely, and strengthen, and settle you. 11 To Him be the dominion (power, authority, rule) forever and ever. Amen (so be it). Firstly we ought to wait with great endurance. In order to clearly understand the verse above you need to read the previous verses so as to have the full context of the scripture. The Bible a

Uhmmm, I can't believe it's already five months since I wrote on this blog. Oh no! What exactly prevented me from writing all the while, I cannot really say (shrugs)...however one thing I have learnt in life and I try to put into practice are the words of Paul in Philippians 3:13- “Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead.” And so, I have decided to forget the past, while I move forward to being consistent in the next few months, so help me God! So, uhmmm.... What do I want to share today? YOUNG LADY, PROPHESY Sounds somehow right? Well, as a young lady, who believes in Christ Jesus, you must always prophesy. Never lack a word for yourself. You must always prophesy. To prophesy means to speak forth God's word, as one who is sent of the Lord. It is possible for everyone to prophesy. The more you are tuned into God's frequency, the more y

Do you know that marriage is not what makes you a wife? As a matter of fact, there is need to become a wife before you get married. Don't wait till you get married, before you embark on the journey of becoming a wife.  He who finds a wife finds a good thing, And obtains favor from the Lord Proverbs 18:22 NKJV Not every lady of marriageable age is a wife, and in fact not every married woman is a wife. Wifehood is something you consciously become, not a status you acquire. If you become a wife before you get married, you already start being a favour to your man, a good thing, pleasant and valuable. Your man already starts to obtain favour from the Lord.  I remember while I was in a relationship, I would confess regularly that my husband (then my fiance) obtains favour from the Lord, because he had found me (a wife), and anytime he enjoys a favour in his life, I was not always surprised, because I knew he had found a wife...hulalaaaa So how do you become a wife

Count it all joy

This post goes to the lady out there; whether teenage girl or young that lady who is faced with so much pressure...that lady on whom every responsibility seem to rest...that lady with a heavy heart, sadness all over...desires not met, expectations not fulfilled.... so much needs and wants... depression about to set heart is with you and that is why I need to tell you to count it all joy..... James 1:2‭-‬3 NKJV My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. There's a correct response to when you fall into various trials. The response is joy, borne out of knowledge. Knowledge is very important before you can fully rejoice in the midst of tribulations. Knowledge of who you are in Christ and what God has done for you will cause you to be joyful always.  You need to know that whatever you are passing through right now is for a reason.

Hello ladies, So, on the first day of the year, I got to study Hebrews 4:12. What a beautiful scripture to study the very first day of the year.  It talks about God's word being quick (alive and active), powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword. So my conclusion was to always take charge by God's word. To take charge of situations and circumstances, by the word cos the word is living, it is active, it is powerful, the word works. Rather than allow situations of life weigh me down, I should rather take charge by the word. And do you know that yesterday, some evil thoughts came creeping my mind, but I thank God for the word....I began to declare God's word concerning me and my household and then peace came. Glory!!! To the teenage girl out there, is your academics a challenge, or are you having issues with self esteem? Are u in fact overly concerned about your physical appearance, anxious about your career choice? Rather, than wallow in self pity, put God's

Hello Pretties, Yeah, it's been a while, and the break was intentional. I made use of the period of silence to restructure, redefine, and so be sure that am back for the best.....fully loaded for Year 2019. The vision has not changed, it's still about  helping teenage girls and young ladies live a wholesome life: loving God, loving others and loving themselves. I love to see ladies live and enjoy life to the fullest, in Christ. I love to see married women, especially young wives enjoying their marriage, and being a blessing to their husbands. I also love to encourage women to be all that God intends them to be, whether as single or married.  Meanwhile, a happy New Year to you. What am about to write should have come before now, but I  believe it still has its usefulness.  As we all know, the new Year is always filled with resolutions. Some call it goals, some call it vision, and so many other names. Whatever you have chosen to call it, all I know is that the n
