The new man has been delivered from the power of darkness

Let's look at Col 1:2,12-13

It was Paul speaking here. He wrote a letter to the believers in Colosse, and then he was praying for them.

Col 1:2, 12, 13

Hope you know that you are a saint. When you received Christ, you became a saint, pure, holy, just as if you never sinned, new, not because of what you did, but because of what Christ did. Saint is not only for Saint Peter and Saint Paul. Every new man in Christ is a Saint. That's how the Lord perceives you, so begin to perceive yourself that way.

Paul was thanking God who made us qualified to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. We are partakers of the inheritances that belongs to saints. And did you notice that it was God who qualified us? He qualified us by sending Christ. When you believe in Christ, you become qualified, and you can partake of those inheritances, which include righteousness, health, success, prosperity, deliverance, redemption, so many of them.

Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness. Notice the tense, he hath delivered us, not that he will deliver us. He hath done it already. We are delivered from the power of darkness. That's our reality as a new man in Christ. Darkness has no power over a believer. The moment you got born again, you became new, and that new person has been delivered from the power of darkness.

And hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son. Not only did he deliver us from the power of darkness, he also translated us into the kingdom of Christ. Where are we now, where is your present location? The kingdom of Christ; and in that kingdom, there's no power of darkness, only love, joy, peace, victory etc. exists in that kingdom.

Some believers still bother themselves with what is happening in the power of darkness because they think that the power of darkness still has influence over them. Beloved, you have been delivered. You need to know. If you don't know, the devil will keep on oppressing you, but once you know and begin to walk in that consciousness, you will enjoy it.

Hence, the need to renew your mind with God's word. 
Romans 12:2

Now let's look at some other scriptures

 Ephesians 2:5-6

God has quickened us with Christ, and has made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ. That's where we are sitted, in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. There is no power of darkness in heavenly places, am sure.
Let's see the description of the heavenly places

Ephesians 1:20-21
not just above, but far above....all principality, all power, all dominion, every name ...........

So you see that a believer has been delivered from the power of darkness. We are far above them. 

Rather than pray to be delivered, exercise your authority and confess your realities in Christ.
