New creation realities-REST

It's been a really long study and am going to put an end to it today. Actually, there are more realities of a new creation in Christ, but let's stop here. As you personally study, I trust the Holy Spirit to expand more to you. 7. Rest One of our realities as a new man in Christ is rest. A believer is meant to enjoy rest. Actually, for a believer, everything has been done, we only enter into them. A believer has access to success, to prosperity, favour, health, we only rest and enjoy them. So cease from all your struggles from today dear, and enjoy the rest that is in Christ Jesus. For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.  Heb 4:3 Did you see this? We which have believed do enter into rest, the works were finished from the foundation of the World. Let's see some other verses.... There

New creation realities-ZOE

A new man in Christ has *ZOE* What is Zoe? It simply means the God kind of life. A new man in Christ has the God kind of life, that is, the exact life that God has is what a believer has. That eternal life, that John 3:16 talks about is not just about the quantity of life, but about the quality, and do you know that the eternal life is not for when we get to heaven, it begins here on earth. We enjoy the quality of life that God enjoys. GLORY!!! I Jh 5:11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 1Jn 5:12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. Now let's look at some implications of having this life of God.... 1. Health...this is also a reality of a new man in Christ. A believer is meant to live in divine health. The life of God in our spirits has impact upon even our physical bodies. Romans 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, h

New creation realities- HEAVEN IS OUR INHERITANCE

Heaven becomes your inheritance Hey lovelies, am sure you are wondering that this is coming quite early, I bless God for the gift of time. So, one of our realities as new women in Christ is that heaven becomes our inheritance. When you get born again, you become a citizen of heaven. Our salvation brings us into so many inheritances and heaven is one of them. For a believer, heaven is not a reward for good works, heaven is an inheritance, but there are rewards in heaven. You become a citizen of heaven by virtue of the new birth.  So right now, even though we are still on earth, we are heavenly citizens. Paul called us holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling. Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; Heb 3:1 We are partakers of the heavenly calling...hallelujah. So for us, we speak of heaven with certainty, not with doubts. Our sojourn here on earth is to get as many peo

We are assured of God's continual presence. Hello ladies, I trust that you are fine. Yaay, we want to continue our series today. Remember, we have been learning about our realities as new women in Christ. I hope it's not getting boring. No worries, the series will soon end, and then we will move on to other interesting topics..... So, one of our realities as a new woman in Christ Jesus is that we are assured of God's continual presence. Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5 NIV Did you see that, God has said 'I will never leave you nor forsake you'. What does 'never' mean? It means never, that is, not in any condition or circumstance. God is always with us. He never ever leaves us, he never ever forsakes us. God is in us (at the point of salvation, the Spirit of God dwells inside of us), God is with us and God

New creation realities-ACCEPTED IN THE BELOVED

Hello ladies, hope you remember that we are learning about the realities of a new woman in Christ. 3. We are accepted in the beloved Eph 1:6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved A believer is accepted in the beloved family of God. God accepts us based on what Christ did. Can I tell you that when God sees you, he sees Christ, God looks at you with the same eyes with which he looks at Christ. The day that God will stop accepting you is when he stops accepting Christ, and can he ever stop accepting Christ, No! Stop thinking that you are accepted based on your services or on your works. No! you are accepted based on Christ finished works. We don't struggle for acceptance. See yourself as beloved of the Lord. The Lord loves you and accepts you. He accepts us everytime of the day. Let's look at the common scripture. John 3:16 16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believet

New creation realities- DOMINION OVER SIN

You have dominion over sin. Yes, you read me right. A new (wo)man in Christ has power over sin. At the point of salvation, you received a new spirit, which does not have the ability to sin. Actually, sin for a believer is a matter of choice, not because you couldn't help it. For an unbeliever, her nature is sin, she has no choice, in fact, without doing the act of sin, she's a sinner, and she can't help but sin. She might make resolutions: I don't want to do this or that again, but she can't just help it. For a daughter of Zion, that we are, we can help it. Our nature is righteousness, glory to God! We are not sinners, we are saints, we are righteous people, we have power over sin. Let's study some scriptures And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness. Romans 6:18 NKJV We have been made free from sin, we are servants of righteousness. A new (wo)man in Christ is not a sinner, but a righteous person. Stop calling

New creation realities for a woman in Christ

Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. Let's do a brief study of that scripture If any man (anybody, whether male or female, adult or young, bad or good, any man, any woman, does  not matter the state or condition of that man) be in Christ. What does it mean to be in Christ? It basically means to accept Christ as one’s Lord and Savior. At that point you receive the life of Christ, it can be said that you are in Christ. So now, any man who is in Christ, that is, who has received the life of Christ into his or her spirit is a new creature. What does new mean? New means something that never existed. If you have a cloth and you took it to your tailor for repairs, would you call it new? No! That's adjusted, or repaired or touched, or panel beated etc. But when you go to the market and you buy a cloth, a new one, you can call that new because you never had it. So new means new,

The knowledge of God is very important. It helps us to serve the Lord better. It puts our mind at rest. People know God at different levels. There is a knowledge of God from the head (head knowledge)- in which you know God based on what He does for you, not based on who He is. We also have the heart knowledge, in which you know God based on who He is, even if he does not do anything for you. This is the knowledge of God in which even despite terrible situations and circumstances, you are not moved, but you stand still in God.  Some people know God at the garment level. The woman with the issue of blood touched Jesus at the hem of his garment and was made whole. She actually got her healing but that was all. However, Zaccheus longed to know Jesus, not just to receive from him.  A heart knowledge is what you need beloved. Job had a revelational knowledge of God. Despite all he passed through, even though his friends mocked him and his wife told him to curse God and die. He actually

7. It's okay to be yourself. Yay, we have finally gotten to the end of this series. I hope you have enjoyed it so far. It took a while though. So, ladies, it's okay to be yourself. In fact the best person you can be is yourself. You know what, I have been in the comparison game before and am sure quite a lot of you have;  ladies tend to be caught up often in the web of comparison, sometimes we do it unconsciously. Regularly, there's need to jerk yourself up from that table of comparison game. You can not continue to live your life wishing you were someone else, or that you had more of what someone else has. Never compare yourself with others. Appreciate you, your uniqueness, your abilities, and make efforts to improve and develop yourself. Comparing yourself with another will make you regress rather than progress. It only brings to the forefront your inadequacies and in fact gets you to the point of feeling that you can not go ahead of those inadequacies. It's

6. Don't place your ultimate hope in marriage. Am aware of how much you have in mind about your kind of marriage, in fact to start with, the man of your dreams. Some people don't want to die now because they are yet to experience marriage. Yes, marriage is a sweet can tell you that over and over again, but, don't place your ultimate hope in marriage. Marriage isn't meant to be the end. It's not the final bus station. Marriage is meant to be the means to fulfilling your God-given purpose. As a single lady, you need to have something that you are living for. You need to have a drive, a passion, something that keeps you going, that you have recognised as the reason for your existence. Yes, getting married can be a part of that big picture, but it is not all. I see a lot of young ladies, Me-where do you see yourself in the next five years? Response- in my husband's house or to make it more interesting, married, with 3 kids. What? Is that al

5. Character is very important The importance of a godly character cannot be overemphasized. You know scriptures say to let our lives so shine, that people may see our good works and glorify our father who is in heaven. The good works that people will see and be drawn to our father is our godly character. It's not enough for us to be born again, there is also the need to develop godly character. The summary of godly character that should be developed are the fruits of the spirit. The good thing is that at salvation, we received the potential to bear these fruits. What is left for us is to continually yield ourselves to the ministry of the Holy spirit as he helps us in development of these virtues. Several situations and circumstances will be coming our way in our walk with the Lord, all in a bid to grow these virtues inside of us. Note that it does not just happen over the night. It's a gradual process as you continually yield yourself to the ministry of the Word and of the

4. Your relationship with God is more important than any other relationship  I heard someone whisper, 'even more than my relationship with my husband?' Oh yes!! Your most important relationship is the one you have with the Lord, and should be given utmost priority. Nothing must tamper with it. You must see to it that you are fueling it, day in and day out. That is not to say that every form of relationship is not important. Of course, we are relational beings. Parents, spouses, children, siblings, friends etc. These are people in our lives at every point in time, and it's very important to maintain these bonds. However, not at any point in time should any of these relationships affect your relationship with God. The Lord wants us to guard our fellowship with him seriously. As an unmarried lady, your mother or father or fiance is not your source. The Lord is your source. They shouldn't be depended upon for meeting every of your needs of finances, happiness and so on

3. There's a reason for which God has created you. Scripture says, known unto God are all his works, from the foundation of the world. Do you know that the Lord knew you before He made you? You are part of his works and He had you in mind. He planned your creation with a purpose in mind, from the foundation of the world before He eventually created you. So lady, you have a purpose. You are not an accident. You may be unplanned by your parents, probably even unwanted, but the Lord planned and wanted you and there is a reason for which He does. He created you as a solution to a challenge here on earth. There's a general purpose why God created humans, there's a purpose why He created woman, and there is a specific purpose why He created you. So I want you to know that every situation you have passed through in life, every challenge you have faced, is all part of the purpose of your creation. Begin to embrace who you are. See life from the perspective of purpose. There

2. The state of your spirit is much more important than the state of your body. Yay, am a lady, and I know what matters to us a lot: our physical appearance. We love to look good. We spend so much on the dresses, on the accessories, the shoes etc. Do you know that your spiritual appearance is more important than your physical appearance? Let me put it to you! How many hours do you spend trying to look good? How many hours do you spend with the word and prayers? How much is your monthly budget on make up and accessories? How much is your monthly budget on books, bibles, and other spiritual materials that can help your growth?. The point is am guilty myself, and you know what, the spirit of God brought it to my attention. Recently, hubby included in the house budget some clothing materials for me, but yeee, I can't remember the last time I asked for the budget for a study bible to be included for me. Time to repent (change of heart that brings about a change of attitude). Be

1. Your beauty does not lie in how people perceive you. Your beauty depends on how you perceive yourself. Nowadays, we are configured in our minds to understand beauty in terms of society views. We think beauty is in the flawless skin, the flat stomach and the modelling hard-to-get shape. These pictures are so much painted in our minds to the extent that we see ourselves as non-beautiful when we are none of these and we see some certain people as the beauties. Can I tell you that your beauty depends on you. You need to see yourself as beautiful, regardless of how anyone sees you. A change in perception about yourself will equally affect or cause a change in every area of life and will consequently change how you are looked upon by people around you. Start to perceive yourself well. Look into the mirror and tell yourself that you are beautiful. Please Subscribe for updates * indicates required Email Address * First name

How to develop Poise 3- The way you act

Today, we are going to wrap up on this series. It's been an interesting one for me so far. In the previous post, I have shared about the way to  speak , and the way to  look . 3. The way you act Like I would always say, there's is a way to do things as a member of the beloved family of God. There is a way we act. We don't behave anyhow. We are courteous, we respect people, we are people of love. As a poise lady, here are some virtues that should be developed. A gentle and a quiet spirit You can develop a gentle and a quiet spirit by God's word. It shows in your ability to be calm even when situation and circumstances is calling for unrest. It shows in your ability to take charge and not let the situations control how you act. It's much more than having a cool temperament. Some people are quiet by nature, but they don't have a quiet spirit. Their spirit is so busy. You might be an active person, in fact an extrovert, but yet you have a gentle and quiet s

Saturday Special- Joshua 1:9

Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified, do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. Nothing is more soothing than the ever present presence of God. God realizing and knowing this has promised us His daily presence, his moment presence, 'and behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age'. Have you ever been in a state of despair, a state of giving up, a point where it seems like no one cares and when it looks like you are the only one pushing through. I have been through some myself but the thought of God's never leaving presence keeps me on my feet. I remember when I was younger, during stormy rains, the rooftops would be blowing as if it was going to lift off my house. Even though, somewhere in me is afraid, the thought of my 'mum' being there reduces the fear. How much more God, our amazing father who loved us, not only with words of mouth like many do, but he loved us by giving-he gave sacrificially. He loved us an

How to develop Poise 2- The way you look

I trust that you are doing great. We are still on the journey to developing poise. You can check the last article here . You know what, something funny happened; my friend called me on phone, speaking so soft and tenderly. I was wondering where that was coming from, until she told me that, well, that was what you said on your blog. It was on a lighter mood and I really laughed, but still, it was good to know that someone remembered what I wrote. Having dealt with the way we speak, today let's consider 2. The way you look Your look is very important in the journey to being poise. You need to look good at all times. Here are few points to note. a. Take good care of your hair. Your hair is your adornment and should be properly maintained. Wash regularly, make use of essential treatments. Prevent dandruff from making your hair an habitation, as that can be very embarrassing. Be feminine in styling your hair. Make use of hair roses, scarves and pins. Be very crea

How to develop Poise 1- The way you speak

I hope you are enjoying this series as much as I am. In the last post, I wrote that you need to know who you are, to develop poise and that this knowledge can only come from interacting with God's word and God's Spirit. You can check the post  here . I want to mention some few things to bear in mind as you embark upon the journey of developing poise. 1. The way you speak There's a way to speak in the Kingdom. We don't talk anyhow. We don't talk as someone without knowledge. We talk as queens and princesses that we are. The word of God says to speak with grace. There is a graceful speaking, that edifies your hearers. There is a way to speak that people are always blessed. For the Proverbs 31 woman, the law of kindness was upon her lips. Lady, you need to learn to speak. Only speak words that minister grace to the hearers. Let me also note here that as a lady, learn to speak softly and tenderly. It's an hallmark of femininity. Softness and tenderness a

What does it mean to be Poise?

Let's start with the theme of this blog. 'Poise'. What does it mean? Well, I checked the dictionary!!! Poise is a graceful and elegant bearing in a person. Being poise has to do with being confident, being balanced and being in control, being calm even in face of stressful and challenging situations. It also has to do with strength and grace. It shows in one's speech, in one's carriage, in one's expressions, in the way one addresses situations and even people. Poise can be developed, and I would say that such grace and strength can only come from knowledge. If you would ask me, what knowledge, then I would say 'the knowledge of who you are'. A correct perception of yourself will change the way you walk, the way you talk, the way you handle situations. The question then is who are you? The moment you become born again, you have been delivered from the power of darkness, and translated into the Kingdom of God's dear Son. In t
